Anthony (Tony, “Tone,” nicknamed “Newberg”) was born in the East End of London in 1931. The rest you can Google.

This site is about the Tony you may not know.

He was a loving father and a loyal and affectionate friend. He was an amazing composer, lyricist, writer, director, actor, singer, storyteller, movie star, pop singer, and TV personality all packed into a small, beautiful package.

From the shows on Broadway and the West End of London: the groundbreaking Stop The world I Want To Get Off, the battle of the classes in The Roar of The Greasepaint The Smell of the Crowd, the crazy yet beautiful The Good Old Bad Old Days, the man was unstoppable. His version of Chaplin was personal and a delight.

Tony Newley was an insecure man who created magic with his words and voice. This website is about that Newley. Welcome to his world.
